Baked Snoek

I found this lovely recipe by local food hero, @jennymorrischef on the @food24_sa website. It was a winner (and I'm a very inexperienced snoek cook)!

Kingklip with Basil & Lemon Pesto

This is a @pesto_princess ‘s recipe, using our kingklip and their super popular basil & lemon pesto (which is the dairy free alternative to their classic basil pesto). We stock basil & lemon pesto in a 130g jar, 500g tub or 1kg tub.

Hake with Harissa and Coconut Cream

michelleparkinphotography developed this recipe for @pesto_princess using our hake and their harissa paste. Harissa paste is made from chillies and red peppers, some garlic, oil and spices all blended to a paste that you can basically add to any dish. The Pesto Princess version is not mind-blowingly hot and I use it all the time.

Baby Marrow and Kingklip Green Curry Parcels

I love a green curry, so this recipe is right up my alley. I found it on the Food and Home website – https://www.foodandhome.co.za. I tweaked it a bit… I know one of my customers makes it every time she gets frozen kingklip portions from me (she comes especially for them!).

Pesto-baked Hake with Crushed Potatoes & Peas

We love how our products play together, so we’re always looking for a recipe that combines them. This one uses our humble hake (seriously the most underrated fish in the sea!) any pesto of your choice and capers.

Grilled Line Fish with Thai Pesto

Pesto Princess have been kind enough to share some of their tried and tested recipes featuring their pestos and our fish. This one is super simple, easy to make and never disappoints. You could use any firm white fish.

Jamie’s Keralan Fish Curry

This is my go to fish curry and I make it regularly. It is always a hit. Easy, quick to prepare and delicious. You can't go wrong. I usually use a mixture of hake and kingklip, but you can really use whatever fish you have. You can find the original recipe at https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/fish-recipes/keralan-fish-curry/

Yellowtail Ginger & Coconut Curry

This is just about the nicest fish dish I’ve ever made at home. Yellowtail is the perfect choice for this recipe. The curry sauce is powerful, but the fish holds up its flavour just beautifully. I will definitely be making this again and again.

Grilled Swordfish with Charred Cherry Tomatoes

The prime steak of the seafood world, swordfish offers a meaty meal. Seared to a perfect medium rare, these swordfish steaks are topped with a sauce of charred tomatoes, rosemary and anchovy that is redolent of Mediterranean cuisine.
